Ingredients

  • Heavy cream (or half-and-half)    :-1/2 cup / 120 ml
  • Orange peel    : 3 strips
  • Milk chocolate, finely chopped    :- 210 grams
  • Grand Marnier or other orange liqueur (optional)    :- 1 tablespoon / 15 ml

Accompaniments

For dipping:

  • Orange segments
  • Apple slices
  • Banana slices
  • Cherries
  • Berries
  • Figs
  • Marshmallows

Preparation

  1. In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, bring the cream and orange peel to a boil. Remove from the heat, cover, and let stand for 30 minutes. Remove the orange peel.
  2. Place the chocolate in a medium bowl.
  3. Reheat the cream until simmering. Pour the cream over the chocolate, and let stand for 30 seconds, then whisk gently until the mixture is very smooth. Whisk in the Grand Marnier, if using.  Serve warm with a variety of magnificent dipping ingredients.
