Ingredients

  • Broccoli, cauliflower and carrot mix, cut into thin slices    :-  450 grams
  • Milk, divided    :- 2 cups / 480 ml
  • All-purpose flour    :- 1/3 cup / 75 grams
  • Chicken broth or Vegetable broth    :- 425 ml
  • Gouda cheese, shredded    :- 1 cup / 120 grams

Garnish

Gouda cheese, shredded

Preparation

  1. In a heavy bottom pan boil vegetables for 8 to 10 minutes; drain and again add 1 cup water and boil.
  2. Whisk 2/3 cup milk and flour together; mix well. Pour into vegetables; stir in remaining milk and chicken broth or Vegetable broth.
  3. Heat, stirring often, until thickened and bubbly; heat one minute more. Reduce heat to low; stir in Gouda cheese until melted.
  4. Transfer it to the serving bowl garnish it with Gouda cheese, shredded and serve hot.
